Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arriving to Leh
Our agent will take you to your hotel upon arrival. Throughout the day, get used to the higher altitude of 3,500 meters (11,800 feet) and the decreased air pressure. Enjoy walking around the local markets in the evening. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 2: Alchi Monastery to Leh
After breakfast, travel 68 km to the beautiful Alchi Monastery, which is famous for its 2,000-year-old paintings. See Magnetic Hill, the Military Hall of Fame, the famous Maitreya Buddha statue at Likir Monastery, and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers at Nimmoo along the route. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 3: Hemis Monastery, Thiksey, and Khardung La Pass
Start the day out with an exciting journey to Khardung La Pass, which at 18,360 feet is the highest motorable road in the world. Visit a Stoke Village local family in the afternoon and partake in traditional butter tea and barley beverages. After that, visit Thiksey Monastery, which is well-known for its striking Maitreya Buddha statue, and end the day at Hemis Monastery. Go back to the hotel to stay the night after dinner.
Day 4: Trip to Pangong Lake
Set out early in the morning to visit the breathtaking Pangong Lake, which is 135 kilometres from Leh. This lake, which is 3-5 km broad and 140 km long, extends into Tibet. After exploring the local markets for a while, return to Leh in the evening. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 5: Going out of Leh
After your final transfer, head to the airport for your early morning trip.
